About this directory
ECHO coordinates help for people who are unhoused or facing eviction across northeastern South Carolina. This directory makes 216 provider listings available to residents and partner agencies.

The app runs on Unkey Compute. Unkey checks partner keys and limits public API traffic.
Endpoints
OpenAPI specification for API clients and documentation tools. Organization name matches appear before matches in descriptions. Search ignores punctuation and accents.

Search responses contain tier, total, limit, offset, snapshot, and data. Providers include id, name, address, lat, lng, counties, coverageNotes, categories, phone, website, and details.
Categories use IDs such as food, shelter, and housing. Category assignments come from a review of the snapshot, not a live confirmation of availability. An empty category list means an entry has not been categorized. Keyword search also searches the full description, including exclusions.
counties contains only the 13 county names. Original labels such as Columbia, Other, and Other/Outside are preserved in coverageNotes. Use coverage=outside to find these entries. Coverage filters can be combined.

Public responses include X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining, and X-RateLimit-Reset. Reset is a Unix timestamp in milliseconds. A 429 response includes Retry-After in seconds.
Partner access
Contact ECHO to request a partner key. Use the key in a server-side integration:

Invalid, expired, or revoked keys return 401. Exhausted credits return 402. Rate limits return 429. Unavailable access checks return 503. Invalid filters or pagination return 400.

Embed the public directory with optional starting filters. Visitors can search and open provider details in a new tab. Public request limits still apply.
About the data
This directory is a snapshot of ECHO's resource list. The export omits dedicated personal contact name and email fields. Provider descriptions are carried over from the source. The directory is not connected to ECHO's internal systems.
